A. one who cancels his debts, an insolvent: esp. said of those friends of Solon at Athens, who took advantage of his σεισάχθεια, Plu. Sol. 15 χρεώκοπ‐ος (parox.), ὁ, = creditor, decoctor, Gloss. (χρεο‐).
