χορδαψός

A. a disease in the great guts, the same as εἰλεός in the small ones, Hp. Coac. 502; but the meanings are reversed by Diocl.(Fr. 73) ap.Cels. 4.20.1; an aggravated form of εἰλεός acc. to Aret. SA 2.6, but not distd. fr. it by Gal. 8.388 (fr. χορδή, ἕψω, acc. to Aret. l. c.).
