χελιχελώνη, ἡ, a girls' game, in which a ring was formed round a player called χελώνη, Poll. 9.125, Eust. 1914.54. The χελι‐ seems to be merely an iteration of the first syll. in χελώνη; cf. Carm.Pop. 21 (written χέλει χ. Eust.l.c.).
