A. watery, wet, moist, νότοι Thphr. Vent. 57 (nisi leg. ὑδατεινός); ὑ. νάρκισσος that loves the water, IG 14.2508 (Nemausus); τὸ ὑ. σῶμα the body which is water, Plot. 2.7.2: τὸ ὑ. an eye-lotion, Gal. 17(2).185.
II. transparent like water, of thin, gauze-like Milesian garments, καίρωμα Call. Fr. 295; ὑ. βράκη Theoc. 28.11; [στολή] POxy. 265.3 (i A. D.).
III. = ὑγρός 11.1, pliant, supple, βραχίονες AP 9.567 (Antip.). [υδατινος: but in dactylic (incl. Asclepiadean) verses υ; for ὑδατινός see ὑδατεινός.]
