II. = τύμπανον 11, ὁ ἀπὸ τοῦ τ. nickname of one Lysimachus who at the last moment escaped execution, Arist. l. c.; ἄξιοί εἰσι τυχεῖν πάντες ἑνὸς τ. AP 11.160 (Lucill.); τύπανα is metrically possible in Ar. Pl. 476, and is required there by the alphabetical order in Suid., as is τύπανον in Hsch.
