A. running, τροχαλὸν δὲ γέροντα τίθησιν makes him run quick, Hes. Op. 518 (but v. infr. 11); Μοιράων τροχαλώτερε AP 7.681 (Pall.); τ. ὄχοι swift-rolling, E. IA 146 (anap.). Adv. ‐λῶς Gloss.
II. round, AP 5.34 (Rufin), Nic. Th. 589, etc.; and in Hes. l.c., Eust. and others interpret it by κυρτός, bowed, bent; cf. τρόχμαλος.
