2. the famous, Id. 1.120,126, etc.; or the notorious, Id. 5.1,15, etc.
3. in opposed clauses, τόκα μὲν ἐν τήνων . . , τόκα δὲ πὰρ τήνοις Epich. 147, cf. Theoc. 1.36.
