2. (cf. σχέδην) gentle, slow, ἱππασία Poll. 1.214.
II. of Time, casual, temporary, αἰτίη, πρόφασις, πόνος, Aret. SD 2.7, 2.13, 2.12, etc.; ἐπὶ σχεδίου as Adv., ib.1.6; on the spur of the moment, off-hand, ποτόν AP 11.64 (Agath.); λόγος D.H. Comp. 18, etc.; ὥσπερ ἐν σχεδίῳ πόλις ἀποδείκνυται in a moment, J. BJ 3.5.2; σχέδιον,τό, extemporaneous speech, impromptu, Hermog. Meth. 17 fin.
2. done or made offhand, ordinary, common (= εὐτελής, Hsch., Phot.), οἴνη Nic. Th. 622. Adv. ‐ίως temporarily, Aret. SD 1.2; sketchily, ἄρτος ς. ὠπτημένος Sch.Luc. Pisc. 45; at random, Arat. 1154.
