A. συρμός 11) purge-plant, a name given to the radish, as used by the Egyptians (cf. μελανοσυρμαῖος), Hdt. 2.88, 125, Ar. Pax 1254, PPetr. 3p.327 (iii B.C.), D.S. 1.64, cf.
