II. metaph., day-labourer, Alciphr. 3.19,63; also συργάστωρ, ορος, ὁ, v.l. ibid. (in 63).--Both words are expld. by συοφορβός or ὑ(ὀφορβός in Hsch., Phot. EM 736.25 (Συργάστωρ is also an ὄνομα βαρβαρικόν acc. to Hsch.).
