A. to be synonymous with, τινι Ph. 1.304, Sor. 1.60, Ath. 1.11e; τὸ ‐εῖν συνδέσμους ἐπιρρήμασιν same words serve as conjunction and adverb, A.D. Synt. 335.27.

2. to have the same name and nature as, c. dat., Dam. Pr. 96.
