a. happy event, success, Pi. P. 1.36 (pl.); συντυχίῃ χρησάμενος καὶ σοφίῃ Hdt. 1.68; θεῶν ἐπὶ συντυχίαις the happy issues due to them, S. Ant. 157 (anap.).

b. mishap, mischance, ξυντυχίᾳ βαρυνόμενοι Cratin. 166, cf. E. Tr. 1119 (anap.), El. 1358 (anap.), Pl. Phdr. 248c, etc.

c. μειράκιον . . ἀποσκορακίσαν τὴν τοῦ Πυθαγόρου ς. the intervention of P., Iamb. VP 25.112.
