συννέμω

A. feed or tend together, of the shepherd:—Pass., feed with, τοῖς θήλεσι, of the males, Arist. HA 572b21.

2. generally, make one's partner or associate, εἰσαγαγεῖν τὴν δοκιμασίαν συννείμαντας IG 22.850.20; Ῥώμη προσποιοῦσα ἑαυτῇ καὶ συννέμουσά τινας Plu. Rom. 16:—Pass., to be associated, Id. 2.424a; ποιητικὴν μουσικῇ ‐ομένην ib.744f; ἀχθόμενος ἐπὶ τῷ ‐νέμεσθαι πολλάκις Ἀκέστορι Satyr. Vit.Eur. Fr. 39xv29; cf. συννομέομαι.
