A. = σύνθεσις 111, mostly in pl., covenant, treaty, πῇ δὴ συνθεσίαι . .; Il. 2.339, cf. A.R. 1.340, etc.: also in sg., Id. 4.340, al., Epic.Oxy. 214r.13; περὶ συνθεσίης for a wager, Posidipp. ap. Ath. 10.412e (καίπερ ς. codd.).

2. οὐδ’ . . ἐλήθετο συνθεσιάων nor did he forget the instructions, Il. 5.319.
