The Pumpkinification of Claudius — a savage satire on the recently deceased emperor's attempt to be admitted to heaven as a god. The gods take one look at his shambling, stammering ghost and send him to hell instead, where Caligula claims him as a slave. The only comedy Seneca wrote. It is viciously funny and completely merciless.
