I. a leading round to exhibit whatever is worth notice; hence, a geographical description. This term is used as the title of a poem by Avienus.—Hence, pĕrĭēgētĭcus, i, m., the writer of travels: Metrodorus, Lact. ad Stat. Th. 3, 479.
