the Molossians, a people in the eastern part of Epirus, Plin. 4 prooem.; Cic. Div. 1, 34, 76; Nep. Them. 8, 4.—They were so called from Molossus, the son of Pyrrhus, king of Epirus, and Andromache, acc. to Serv. Verg. A. 3, 297.—Hence,
